01
The problem
People who work with an independent financial advisor often hold policies from several insurers and funds from several managers, each with its own paperwork. Clients needed to see all of it in one place, and their advisors needed the same picture before every review.
02
What I built
An installable web app for clients and a portal for their advisors, in Hungarian and English. A policy is added by uploading its PDF: the text is read, scanned pages through OCR, and the fields are filled in. Fund prices arrive every day from six sources and drive charts with technical indicators, fund comparisons and a savings-plan backtest. A needs-assessment wizard, reminders by email, Viber or push notification, and reports in PDF or Excel complete it.

What changed
Ballast is in beta. The daily price run reports every fund it could not update, with the reason, and warns when a source goes stale. 383 automated tests cover the API and the price pipeline, and every push to the main branch deploys to the server.
Private project. The name is changed, everything else is as built.
